The CLIMATEXLAW Conference welcomes contributions that engage with normative, doctrinal, theoretical, empirical, and policyoriented questions, and we particularly encourage participation from scholars and practitioners beyond the legal discipline, including the social sciences, environmental sciences, economics, political science, philosophy, urban studies, and technology studies.
Contributions are invited across a range of topics that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the conference. Indicative themes include, but are not limited to:
Climate change law beyond the “emergency” paradigm / Climate change, air pollution, and public health / Protection of oceans, forests, biodiversity, and ecosystems / Access to water and climate-related resource governance / Sustainable development and environmental governance / Human rights, environmental protection, and climate justice / Environmental protection in armed conflicts / Indigenous peoples, traditional knowledge, and environmental law / International trade, investment protection, and climate change / Sustainable energy production and environmental regulation / Artificial intelligence and digital tools in climate governance / Cities, urban governance, and climate resilience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
All conference fees are non-refundable once paid. All costs regarding transfer and accommodation are to be covered by participants.
Schengen Visa
All participants that must acquire a visa for the purpose of attending the conference should take into account that visa proceedings can take up to a month. We advise careful and timely planning. Country-specific information regarding visa policy of the Schengen Area can be found here.
Participants that need a visa should let us know in the application form and complete the payment as soon as possible. For further inquiries, please contact the Organising Committee at info@climatexlaw.com.
The Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana will issue the necessary Letter of Invitation after the payment of conference fees will have been received in full. Please note that further information may be required by the Organising Committee before issuing the letter. Information provided by the participant are subject to verification of authenticity. The Organising Committee will decline to issue the letter should the participant fail to provide the required information. This applies regardless of the success of the payment.
Any potential visa abuse will be immediately reported to the authorities.
